Oyster 435 (1988)

At her berth in Corfu..

Type Cutter rigged centre cockpit, aft cabin cruising yacht. Fin keel with skeg hung rudder.. Dimensions LOA Beam, Draught Displacement
Built The yacht was built by well known South Coast boat-builder Ego Dridge for Oyster in 1988 but believed launched in 1989. The hull was epoxied under the water line before I purchased her. After purchasing her she was discovered to have been sitting below her waterline due to the cruising displacement and this area was also treated in 2003 and the waterline raised, under the supervision of a Surveyor (Tony Staton-Bevan). Prior to taking her to the Med a partial refit was carried out by SYS ( a division of Oyster ) and Greenham Regis (electronics) Engines The engine is a Volvo MD1a 63HP diesel non – turbocharged and has had a new heat exchanger, water pump, strainer, exhaust elbow and receiver in 2004 and engine mounts in 2007. The current hours are 4457 and the engine has been serviced annually / at 100 hours. The propeller is a three bladed Maxprop which was replaced in 2007. The engine condition is good and is an easy starter A new Genacis M4 - 4Kva diesel generator was fitted in 2003 below the gangway steps replacing an old Mase generator. Again this has been serviced regularly and the generator hours are 46. The generator is fresh water cooled through a heat exchanger .
Tanks TBA Berths 8 Berths , twin/double forward, twin single to port, twin singles to saloon, and double aft cabin.

History

The owners purchased Roysterer through Oyster brokerage in April 2000 and they are the third owner. The second owner bought the yacht to go on the ARC and fitted her out with additional equipment for this purpose. Roysterer sailed on the 1998 ARC and cruised the Caribbean, subsequently being brought back to the UK in 1999/2000 to sell.

The yacht was purchased for long distance sailing and used in the UK before refitting her and sailing to the Mediterranean in 2004 finding her an excellent sea boat in the process. Roysterer has since cruised Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Greece and has been regularly professionally maintained in the process. Due to other family issues she is now offered reluctantly for sale.

Broker's Comments What a comprehensive specification!!..I have not yet seen the boat, but from all I have seen and read I do not doubt that it would not disapoint.
