out with us in Hythe, (lifted 18th February )

She is lifted ashore every year for at least two months..

Type Long Fin , mast head cruising yacht from Angus Primrose with spacious accommodation for 8. Wheel steering from a centre cockpit. Dimensions LOA 38'6" LWL 32'6" Beam 13'4" Draught 5'6" Displacement 18,150lbs 8,222 KG .
Built By Marine Projects in Plymouth to a design by Angus Primrose. Hand Laid GRP hull and superstructure with White gel coats. Teak faced interior , Engines Bukh 36hp  3 cylinder diesel driving a straight shaft to a fixed three blade propeller, This unit gives her a max of around 8 knots and will cruise her at 6 knots comfortably. last serviced 2008, she has been little used but is really due a service. she burns around 3/4 gallon an hour at 6knot cruising so has a range under power of 300nm with 25% saftey margin.. There is a new exhaust elbow aboard that is awaiting fitment.
Tanks The Fuel is in a 50 gallon tank, and water in a good 75 gallon tank which was fitted in 1998 ( tech tank) Berths Owners cabin aft with good double berth across the ship, twin or double with infill forward, twin single bunk cabin forward to port and a good double conversion to saloon table infill etc , She has twin heads and showers..

Interior

SAILS ( owner describes "All Good")    Spare Mainsail under bunk lockers, Spare Genoa, Spare jib, Spainnaker and guy ropes.    Main in recent stack pack/ lazy jacks and genoa on furler 1991.

SPARS....Alloy main mast original, Boom alloy original, Spinnaker pole original.

RIG    Standing rig 1/19 stainless wire last replaced March 1998, Running rigging last replaced January 2005,

working outside first and then around her neat clean spacious interior..

quick scan of brochure.. showing her simple profile and rig with long fin and skeg hung rudder. The layout is wrong aft where she has double across the ship not as show above..!

Standing Rig all last replaced March 1998, Running rigging replaced January 2005,

forward, Bruce anchor, 40m chain, SL electric windlass, foot switch, in sunken deck area.

looking aft, note great vents two clear hatches in deck standing rails at mast base make deck work safer, great spray hood, all 2005 with dodgers main stack pack and dodgers..

simple drop step to make boarding easy works well..

aft deck , canister Beaufort life raft serviced last 2007, third deck hatch, dan buoy (approx 2004), twin belts, twin GPS antennas on pushpit.. single back stay.

deep drop down swim/boarding ladder note topsides are good and clean

port side forward in cockpit, cockpit canopy on.. all neat and clean..nots grab rail..

center and stb side , again immaculate..

wheel steering from whitlock,, note recent Simrad ("sail to wind") autopilot hand set stb side of pedestal,

locker left of shot is enormous and very deep..

Wire control winch to genoa furling drum, aft stb side ..

Main sheet central aft, note all cockpit cushions are in good order,

port side bosuns locker.. ladder down in to here,,, great shelf arrangement and access to engine through drop out door right of shot.. all well organized.(tinker tramp sailing inflatable in red bag )

Looking down to saloon from cockpit, New carpets throughout boat in April 2008, and they still look new.. The upholstery is also wearing very well..

dinette to port lockers behind seat back, and under bases, table drops to infill for double. Wood effect Formica surface to table and bulkheads,, is original and in good condition. all curtains replaced in April 2008.

Domestic panel aft of dinette, note central heating controls.. ( new system 2007) to all cabins, ducting mostly lagged..

Galley to stb, double deep sinks, gimbaled cooker grill and oven,  New oven and "corgi certificate" to all new pipes etc 2005 new electric solenoid supply switch.., right of shot corridor to aft cabin. drinks locker just visible left of shot,

nav station forward of galley on stb side, great space and storage. neat Simrad Plotter Nov 2006, Garmin GPS April 2000, DSC radio 2006 and standard VHF radio as spare. ,, Decca Radar needs either fixing or frankly throwing out .. the owner was going to replace but decided, to buy his motorboat from us and I told him to leave new radar to new owner..!! left of shot is access corridor to forward cabin etc..

Back to saloon looking aft at galley, fridge (2005) door ajar, side access panel to engine,, view through to aft cabin.. ( battery state indicator system 2007)

great access in to engine and services, all clean and tidy in here..batteries bottom of shot..(2 new Bardens fitted oct 2007)

one engine start ( has its own alternator) three service batteries, one in cockpit locker..Battery charger left of shot,

New prop shaft cutlass bearing and rope cutter fitted in 2001.

forward end, battery switches, primary filters etc. note the panel on the opposite sides also drops out and is accessed through cockpit locker..

lifted aft mattress just to show that bilges are dry and clean, emergency tiller laid across port aft hatch. note blue plastic grating keeps mattress off base to increase ventilation under berth ..steering gear under.

Last, to give a flavour, all hand books, invoices and general info is beautifully kept and all available.

History Supplied 1981, now with second owner since 1991, lifted every year since for at least two years, LOng cruising and  family cross channel trips from the Solent. The owner comments that he knows of no faults in Hull, rig or mechanically.
Broker's Comments Must be best out there... don't delay she will be gone.. how can you get such ability , strength, and equipment levels, together with assured retention of value in a smart cruising yacht in any other way?
