We will start photos around the exterior then look inside.. This boat must be visited as it has had much good refurbishment done and she looks very well indeed..!
Lifted August 17th for under water service works,,, Antifoul blasted off, for a fresh start, Few blisters found which is hardly surprising at her age, and the owner will happily talk about costs to remedy , for now the boat has been prepared as usual and is being re launched and used.. approx cost for professional full epoxy job is going to be £5,000 ish ,, obviously she would be better than new then... we would suggest this was done during a usual "Down period" or she wants to be blasted and left to dry for a few months, perfectly then "Symblast" have quoted to fill and epoxy coat fully next spring..Dont let this stop you looking at the boat, it is easy to fix and blisters have never sunk a boat that I know of any way ..! It is something at this age of boat that is common and just needs to be dealt with properly.

stb view ashore Hythe

stern gear all polished up,

Fabulous deep hull, here you can see the Hull "Blisters" that house the exhausts. new anodes fitted new antifoul etc August 2010

back end with big recent cockpit canopy up.. note steps molded to transom..and s/s frames across which acts as dinghy rack..

windlass electric, fore deck..

port side looking aft, Non framed windows..... a new thing...? no they did this years ago.. clean smart look and less leakage problems..

stb side deck, spring cleat is handy, good grab rails forward,

Knuckle joint in rails allows forward section of coachroof to lift and access locker ..

all hinges aft, very clever..

screen detail.. and smart S/S swept masts..

aft deck area,, and another view of dinghy rack,, two bars together in photo,, front one moves forward to second socket set,, dinghy sits on top then safe and located..

Nice place to be... at controls of real "Boys toy" Blood and thunder but with out the Blood or the Thunder" if you know what I mean... The Fantome was a late design based on the best of the Ray Hunt Legacy,, the Hunstman 31 hull with more modern GRP build to hull AND superstructure,, with use of internal moldings as well.. Alan Burnard ,, added a stern "Bustle" and aft side blisters to house the exhaust..
Note recent Electronics..and simple easy Morse controls..

co-pilot side, DSC VHF, and LOg echo, GPS etc.. cabin door folded open..note shore power socket right of shot.

Ok starting down inside far forward, drop out hatch to locker , space for infill cushions. (was a curtain on originals but this owner had teak door made.., Part one registry board over.

hatch back in place and smart crisp interior, new upholstery, beautiful saloon table all very tidy...

smart Heads to stb, note owner has fitted new sink in a new worksurface with shape on it which is better frankly that original,, as more knee room...

port side berth, seat,,, note stereo over..

galley to port, bit tight but perfectly useable. This owner is not keen on gas and has removed Gas from the boat.. including Cooker... so yes if you want a cooker installed, either fit a diesel unit or gas unit back in ,, but no cooking other than 240v when in port is available currently. Owner uses a small Canister unit ( camping gaz ) on the few occasions that they want to boil a kettle up a creek...

steps up aft out of cabin... domestic breaker panel to port

looking aft in cockpit, forward table binnacle ,, note nice timber floor

Makes a decent table in cockpit,,, Owner improvement over standard..

stb side looking aft, to aft cabin door..

clever design allows co-pilot seat to have back pulled out, and set at angle to allow use as recliner or even bed..(same both sides..)

looking aft at stb berth

port berth looking aft

vanity unit central aft

behind vanity unit , access to trim tab motor and locker space..

looking forward at steps up to cockpit, note speakers, and heater outlet at floor. floor under steps......

lifts out to give access to main engine seacocks.. and remote greasers.. nice light in here is handy..

table removed,,, and front of engine floor lifted.. the motors look NEW... well I guess they pretty much are !

looking aft at stb motor..

FM200 seafire system front of port motor..

domestic water pump and pressure vessel front of stb motor. note GRP WOVEN ROVINGS to hull obvious..

just a note... as the exhaust run down each side. they designed "Chine blisters" to accommodate them which actually act to help give more beam at the waterline aft...
