Built By Broom boats Norfolk to a design from John Bennet associates, Heavy Hand laid GRP layup with hand laid Gelcoats in white. Teak based interior woodwork with warm 2Satin" finishes. . Engines 2 x Yanmar 420hp turbo diesels 6YL2-STE with low hours .. driving through ZF reduction gearboxes down straight shafts through "bronze "P" brackets to four bladed bronze propellers. These fabulous units give her up to 30+knots when clean and will cruise at 25+ ( or pootle along at 19 knots with a 250NM range with safety margin.
Tanks S/S fuel tanks outside each engine total 250 gallons (1136lt) fresh wqater in S/S tank aft under berth, 110 gallons (500lts) S/S waste holding tank forward under floor connected to both toilets with deck and underwater discharge options. Berths Twin good singles forward, double aft, with a conversion to the forward dinette to creat third double

aft end, note good size aft platfrom, Big extended arm davits with avon rib..

molded steps up on port side, 6 man raft in S/S cradle next to aft cabin hatch, self deploy swim ladder just visible

under water exhausts down moulded pods that exit below the clean water line of the hull, so reducing any soot to virtually zero, and also reduce airbourne noise to minimum.

 

transom gate at top of steps. not hte two small stainless plates on the inside take a slot on back rest.. as seating can drop in to give seating all across the gate area.

cover off. new seat cushions march 2011.

dinghy sits well and high out of water in the conventional davits. Mariner 15hp with full remote controls make the rib fun!

Broom supplied drop in solid side boarding ladder fits either side..

foredeck, good static ventilation.. fender baskets built in, note screen covers have always been used

note there is a bollard to take the strain off the windlass when at anchor deck switches as well at helm

which slides away to gain access to radar, plotter DSC VHF etc.. great dash layout. all simp[le and smart.. burr walnut finish in nearly as new condition..

port side , cabin entry, complicated stainless canopy fram system allows for easy drop of forward section of canopy under way.. great feature and it transforms the whole feel of the boat.. it is also super to help your senses if in FOG ( read test report...)

The arch folds down to allow French exploration..

so now inside from forward, two good singles up here.. the mirror hinges down to allow good access to anchor chain and under windlass deck area

high level lockers were an extra.. leather head boards and bed edges.. immaculate condition ( virtually unused up here..)

this owner had the factory fit a much bigger hatch than standard to give easier quick access to engines check ponts etc.

plenty of room around them for working checks and servicing.

the whole floor can easily be lifted should it be useful

History Sold by James Dickens to current first owner. and specified to his exacting standards. She is in super order inside with a virtual"as new feel " to her.. The exterior is about to have her usual anual wash, cut and wax.. and I shall take some more photos when that is done.. she will look very good I do not doubt.. I delivered this one with the owners and we encountered some force seven in Dover straights... Not nice... but the boat was happy even if her crew were not! Very solid and able seaboats
Broker's Comments Great example of the solid well built offshore cruisers, The owners made a dream come true and did a quick lap of most of the UK, from Solent down west... up to scotland, cutting through caledonian canal, then down the East cost.. and this with photos was published a couple of years back.. we have copies of the 415 test rep[ort also which are available if you ask..
