She has a huge specification with many recent upgrades. All will be shown after our visit to the boat Friday 8th July.. The owner has fallen for his next big boat and a good deal can be done if we move this one on to new home swiftly hence the very realistic asking price that has been put on this boat.. she must be seen to be appreciated. .. |

She was built in 1980 for the then owner of Jethou in the Channel Islands, Sir Charles Hayward. The specification was for a vessel with all weather, all year round capabilities, for operation around the Channel Islands.
The boat was designed by Murray Cormack Associates, the renowned work-boat naval architects, moulded by Robertsons of Argyll and fitted out by Barry Kimber and colleagues, now Seaward Marine of Cowes. She is in fact their company logo! Her design and build was overseen by Michael Scales, the then coxswain of the St. Peter Port Lifeboat, who also skippered the vessel during her years in the islands. At Scales' instigation she was trialed by the RNLI, as an exceptional sea boat and all weather craft. In 1985 she departed the Channel Islands and saw service with the Tyne Pilotage Authority as a relief/standby vessel and was also used as the Harbourmaster's launch.
In 1998 she was sold into private hands and was acquired by currnet RYA school in 1999.
Following an extensive refit and major electronics update in early 2000, she began her career as a training craft, having received MCA Category B coding. she had 12" daylight open array radar with Marpa, GPS plotter, Simrad AP22 autopilot, as well as usual speed and depth kit, Sailor VHF, Eagle intercom and auto fog signal, searchlight, electric capstan,,Eberspacher central heating, and is BUILT LIKE A TANK "!!
