THE last Broom 44 built before they called them a 450. but she has the folding canopy frame forward, new shaped radar arch, larger aft hatches, underwater exhaust pods and several other 450 features.. in fact the first owner could have ordered a 450 but chose the 44 as he prefered the bigger windows and squarer screen etc. . | We supplied this super little boat a year back and the owner took her down to his house in the med. They have loved her but are now bringing her back to us to sell in July . she is immaculate and has a great spec.. virtually every factory extra and some the owner has since fitted, new (2010) autopilot , radar / plotter, heating... full spec she has also had preventative epoxy applied under surveyor supervision in UK. Get the rest of the season and with this sort of boat the season can be extended well in to winter, coupe top and central heating.. no better time to explore the Solent , southcoast and beyond.. Just arrived Hythe, she is being washed, a fresh coat of antifoul etc and now looks immaculate October 2011 just reduced to make her good value. but serious offers may still be considered.. short VIDEOWALK at full details page... |

2 x Volvo 575hp D9's with Just 118 hours running from new ( hours as at Septemebr 2011)these "light"electronic controlled diesels from Volvo give her easy cruising at 24 knots or will top out at near 29 knots.. and burn less diesel than the Caterpillar offerings. They are a good amount quieter, smoother and cleaner and are also easier to handle at slow speeds. All worth considering with fuel prices set to rise further in years to come. we actually ran a decible test and at hel at full chat she shiws 72 Db rather than around 80 with Cats, D9's in the 500hp version have had some gearbox issues... NOT in 575 hp version which has been fine I understand.. |

| Quite superb in every detail, Beautiful, "Gleaming" condition and with Navy hull sides, and "Teak" ( plastic) decks she looks Stunning. The owners spent some time viewing other Broom 50's before ordering her and have carefully chosen all the best ideas and details form others to incorporate in her together with some of thier own to great effect. She has High Gloss Cherry interior and practical yet very attractive Corian flooring to galley and heads. Ocean air blinds to all windows, Full details will be posted shortly. The owners are well motivated to sell her and have a project that means she is now available for sale. If considering a Broom 50, you must see her and compare. They will be sensible with offers, so if you want an "As NEW" three cabin Broom boat with the pain taken out of the Value , she will suit. Replacement now approx £800 000+ I ran her round from Dover to London and bac and she runs beautifully, she made over 29 knots readily and sat at 25kts smooth and quiet. and from North foreland on in a blow she pushed on comfortably at 17 knots ..we rather shocked Sunseeker and all thier 70+preditors as we beat them back...! The owner is now keen after several "Nibbles" to conclude a sale. so come and talk to us. there is a bargain here !!. |

| Stunning solid seaboat. with Ageless pleasing lines. This boat is well known to us having been involved with the boat since her first owner sold her back in late Nineties. I delivered her then to current, Second owner and have watched his meticulous care of her since. She is lifted each year, and stored for winter re-fits in sheds. always emerging in the spring like a new boat ! She has just come out of the shed and been fully professionally prepared for coming 2011 season, This year with the added bonus of new interior upholstery. She is polished, waxed, and varnished with every detail completed to the highest standards.. Teak cappings , Teak badging, all AS NEW..must be seen. a rare craft which would cost well in excess of £1.000,000 to produce today.. probably more actually..she was bulit to a virtual commercial spec , not for charter,,,,just for an owner who wanted the "best" , solid, able and family comfortable seaboat he could get built. Must be seen, She has a smart Oak interior. |

VERY high spec boat with, 10" Bowthruster, 10KVA generator, epoxy treatment ( preventative) 4KW open array scanner with 10" sunview screens, Autopilot. Forward sonar, custom aft awning, Passerelle, Full HFL airconditioning reverse cycle, Skysol sun blinds, all electric hob, Washer drier, Computer station with omni directional WI-Fi antenna, life raft, etc, and lots lots more. all in super condition. The owners have loved and cared for the boat since they commissioned her exact build. They have enjoyed cruising her down to the Med and exploring the south of Portugal. Time has now come when they know boating needs to take a back seat in their lives... and whilst they would rather over price her to avoid selling her !! they have agreed to ask a VERY realistic figure to ensure her swift sale... She has been road transported back from Portugal now and is sat ashore with us in Hythe Marina awaiting inspection. She has been polished, and re antifouled, her stern gear has been polished, and she has been prepared for winter with water drained down, aircon pumos sorted etc etc and has heat aboard..The 450 has always been one of my favourite Broom boats, as many know, good three cabins, fabulous Seaboats with solid stable performance in ghastly weather when/if it happens... We have test reports available do ask.

By James Dickens to her current owner in 2004, This is
one of the highest spec'd Broom 42 ever built, she has
various nice extra bits and pieces done by the factory
at build (no port side door, extra seating lockers etc
instead) and an enormous amount of good equipment fitted,
The special order Corian galley sinks and drainers are
very smart. The light Maple interior is modern in feel,
and with just about every possible extra she is excellent
value. To this sort of spec a 425 would be £450-465k

Several builders will only use white gelcoats and spray any required colour on with Aqwlgrip or similar product which is actually far tougher and epoxy based so you add protection rather than pigmenting your hull gelcoat which actually weakens it as a material. also think of the fun you could have choosing a colour !!. Various upgrades and little bits have been attended, new batteries included. a nes GPS, and some general service jobs have her all in good order. Ill health unfortunately is the reason for sale. Great cruising boats, with good economy compared to many. We have just been asked by owner to get her hull polished up, stern gear polished and a fresh coat of antifoul ready for inspection ! she is ashore now in Hythe and has responded VERY well to her cut wax etc. she looks superb.see the VIDEOWALK at full details |

| In Stunning condition berthed behind the owners house here in Hythe marina, she is lavished with care. She is tied off the pontoon so that there is no fender scuffing of her blue hull. Her one and only owners bought her from the boatshow which is why she is so nicely spec'd, Teak cockpit, Cherry and leather interior, Overlays to Berber carpets, S/S anchor, lots of nice detail and GPS plotter, Tonneau cover, Life raft, Dinghy, TV DVD CD etc etc digital eberspacher fitted after build, Must be one of the best ones out there. Fairlines quality of build is second to none, The Targa 34 is small enough to feel "sporty" large enough to take the channel and long coastal trips in its stride.. exterior and interior "VIDEOWALK" on the "Full Details" page,. |

What a fabulous example of these classic.. boats.. Hull straight from the Huntsman 31... with a redesigned GRP coachroof.. and superstructure... brighter lighter interior and many clever advances, add to that excellent refurbished interior and those stunning recent 300 Sabre's.... recent electronics,, heating,, refitted galley, recent hood...Heads.. etc really very nice.. MUST BE SEEN... she has just been lifted for usual underwater service works, anodes, painting etc, the build up of antifoul has been cleaned of by Symblast with bead blasting which has revealed some blisters which really want dealing with at some convienient time. ( the owner will negotiate on costs of this treatment. ) For now there is nothing to stop the boat enjoying the rest of the summer so the owner will relaunch and has quotes coming from GRP specialist to clean back gel , dry and treat.. which will happily be negotiated.... Nothing unusual on a 40+ year old boat. . She is now ashore and has been surveyed.. few issues to be dealt with, they are being dealt with, She has been ashore for the last few months in the heated shed in Hythe, she had gelcoat peeled and has now been full epoxied. (under surveyor supervision) the owners have fallen back in love with her ! so she is now being withdrawn from the market for at least the rest of the season, She may come back but for now, she is not being shown..
